Lough Bran is a 60-acre lake located four miles northeast of Carrick-on-Shannon and can be accessed off the Ballinamore road.
This is a very good Bream water with a stock of Roach, Hybrids and Tench to 4lbs. Tench are often reported as difficult to catch and somewhat elusive.
Fishing is from 20 single stands into 10 to 15 feet of water. One of these is wheelchair friendly and located at the car park. This is a modern floating structure and anglers are reminded that priority should be given to anglers with disabilities.
The Shannon Regional Fisheries Board has also 5 stiles and 1 footbridge along this section of the lake with easy access from the car park.
