Another contender for the title of Leitrim’s Oldest Bar has emerged. Fox’s Bar in Tooman, on the Mohill to Drumlish road, dates back to the early 1700’s. Present owner Jimmy Fox told LetrimExperience.ie that the family run business has been in the Fox family for eight generations.

A new premises was built in the mid 1980’s, next door to the original bar, and bottling shed, which dates back to the early 1700s.

A big shout out to Jimmy and Kathleen Fox who have delved into the family album, and shared some gems from the past.
