Cormongan Pier is located on the eastern shores of Lough Allen and is renowned for its angling and swimming opportunities.

There’s a slipway there for launching boats, and a spacious car park and picnic areas too!

With protection from a pier to one side, this is a nice , semi contained area, where you can get away from the lake’s choppier waters. For swimmers the water is sandy underfoot and as you swim there are lovely views of this expansive lake.
