At Haughton’s Shore, the Shannon-Erne Waterway meets Garadice. Lake, or Lough Garadice as it is also known, writes Martin Branagan.
A boat slipway is provided in the harbour and boats can also be launched from the shore at Garadice Park.
Garadice Lake is located about 8kms east of Ballinamore and covers an area of 389 hectares with waters up to 20 metres deep.
Most of the lake can be fished from the bank and has developed road access at Haughton’s Shore, Garadice Park and Church Shore.
Car parking is provided at Creamers Shore on the northern side and close to Connolly’s Shore on the southern side of the lake.
