Doogary Lough

Doogary Lough

Doogary Lough is on the borders of Leitrim and Longford and one of the innumerable small loughs that nestle between the drumlins of counties Cavan, Fermanagh, Leitrim and Longford, writes Martin Branagan.

Access to the lake is difficult, and therefore it is seldom fished. A river runs into from Neblewy lake, which provides access for small boats.

There is an abundance of wild life, all at peace with out the risk of human interference.

Our photo was captures the moon in full cry as it glistens over the lake.

A big shout out to Brenda Forde Powell for the photo.
